Why I Created This Program

 

I had just had a child.  I was thrilled, of course, to be a new mother to a beautiful girl, but I was unhappy with my health.  

I was overweight. I had slipped into unhealthy habits.  I wasn’t putting my needs first and I wasn’t taking care of my body, the temple of God.

As a  physician, I knew the risk I was putting myself in by not taking charge of my health.  

My family has a history of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and hypertension, and I knew that I didn’t want to face the health challenges my parents battled.  

I knew that I owed it to my family to make changes.  I knew what I had to do.

I committed to putting an action plan in place to take control of my health and wellness and avoid the chronic illness that has plagued my family.  

While my Christian practice was always an essential part of my life, following the birth of my first child, I began recognizing the importance of being intentional with my diet and movement.  

That began my journey of creating the 6 pillars of Health and wellness. By implementing these 6 pillars, I took control of my future. I Improved all areas of my life when I achieved balance—my soul, spirit, and body.

I’m a triple board-certified physician and a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI), and American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM).

With over 22 years of experience working as a Physician Consultant for influential organizations worldwide, I have decided to launch my own Health and Wellness global virtual company, Transformational Life Consulting (TLC).
